Morales v Alfaro for the WBC I/C Welterweight title :nut Mijares v TBA in a 12 rounder Roman Gonzalez v Juan Hernandez for WBA Minimumweight title Mijares is having a tune up first this month. Hopefully TBA ends up being someone decent. Nice to see Gonzalez getting some exposure as well. Anyone really looking forward to Erik's return? I'm not but I'll still watch it http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=22791&more=1
I thought Cristian's opponent was already named? :huh edit: he's seeing Ronquillo Salvadar on the Garay-Henry undercard 02/27, and then returning a month later on the Morales undercard. :good
Gah...This card is causing all sorts of internal strife with me. Heart- Erik Morales is fighting! Brain- Don't support the comeback! You're only going to cause a problem! Heart- Come on, it's El Terrible! You're a fan aren't you? Brain- But he's fighting Alfaro. That's not a good fight. It's not worth tuning in for. I like El Terrible but not that length. Heart- Roman Gonzalez is on the undercard! You like boxers right?! Brain- Why should I care about a fighter who weighs as much as my girlfriend did in 10th grade? Heart- Christian Mijares is on the show! Remember how good he was before Darchinyan? Brain- Mijares... Heart- Yeah! Christian Mijares is god remember all that? Brain- Sorry but I think I got off that express two stops ago. Still not convinced. Heart- There's gonna be ring card girls...LATINA...ring card girls. Brain- Dirty pool man. Dirty pool. Heart- And I heard a rumor that Johnny Tapia is going to do commentary. Brain- ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! I'll tell him to order it! There better be some sort of Tecate rebate or else it's nothing but fried foods comin yer way dude.
I'm glad to see Mijares back in action. I'm still trying to figure out how in the hell he lost to Vic when posses some serious skills!:huh
I'm definetely renting this PPV. I'm a huge fan of Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and I'm glad he is getting the exposure he deserves. This should be his last fight at minimum since he said he wants to move up to jr. flyweight where there are plenty of big names for him to challenge. As for the main event, although I don't want to see Morales hurt, I'd like to see Alfaro win. He needs to bounce back from his loss to DeMarco. I'd like it to be a close fight but having Alfaro win by UD at the end. Something tells me that if Morales wins he will continue fighting, which I don't want to see.
I`ll back & root for Morales vs any fighter in the sport.... I`ll find it impossible not to watch him fight if I get the chance but I dont think we`ll get to see the fight here in the UK - hope Im wrong tho.
Morales KO3 TBA by UD over Mijaraes Roman by KO 11 Its says David "Nino" Rodriguez (32-0 30 ko) is going to be in a special Heavyweight Attraction. Is this guy mexicos answer to Tyson?
