    OK, so it appears Cristian won by SD against old rival Jorge's younger brother (probably the better fighter than Jorge at this stage but a lesser scalp due to name value).

    Who watched this on Mexican TV?

    Was it really close? Mijares fights have been known to contain some wonky scoring as a lot of judges just aren't fond of his style.

    Also, boxrec says something about both men being deducted points but offers no details as to what for. Was there a lot of excess fouling? Intentional?

    The fight was pitiful! considering our ideas of what a good fight is... you might think otherwise. No one looked brilliant... the ref was very active as both guys did not like each other. Fight was totally irrelevant ...
