poor guy. last time i heard, his fight was cancelled in dubai because of sponsors backing-out. i hope that this would not affect him psychologically and lose his desire to fight. he has great talent and skills.
Mijares by domination, just like he's been doing to everybody around lately, however, if it goes to the cards, expect it to read as a 'close fight' on paper, just like it did vs. Munoz, which is utter horse****. How an 11-1 victory, or 10-2, ends up as an SD is frightening. Mijares also has Donaire's number stylistically, Donaire is going to take a beating in this one, as he has poor defensive skills outside of his fast movement and Mijares can stop that with his jab. Maybe see Donaire quit in his corner, or have the corner throw in the towel due to the beatdown he'll get here. Donaire will likely be intimidated by Mijares as well, Mijares is not the type of guy who KO's you, he gives guys sustained beatings and they get pulverized and tortured over the course of 12, his potential stoppages always come late, almost stopped Munoz even. He has some power, enough to do damage, but not enough to make traditional KO's.
Donaire told me this will be an easy fight for him. He said Mijares will too slow for him. How can I doubt him after he Koed Darchinyan???
you remind me of a crazy woman who wants to be pregnant so bad, that she'll look for things that arent even there. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=106095&cat=boxer :-( :rofl :rofl :rofl
i picked donaire b/c of his power but i think we need to see a little more from him first before a fight would really be justified.
You picked Donaire to outbox him to a Decision, and the next time you tried to call an upset with one of your Filipino fighters you turned out to be dead wrong. I think it's safe to say it was a lucky call, which is bound to happen every once in a while when you choose the Filipino fighter every time.
Yes true I picked Donaire to Outbox Vic and he did. The KO is just the Bonus. I don't pick Pinoy all the time. I picked Darch over Gorres.
Who said anything about outboxing Mijares. When a boxer fights a puncher (and one who can box too), he runs the risk of getting KOed. Mijares' chances of KOing Donaire is almost nil so his chances really bsed on your assumption is not good.
