Mijares Vs Montiel In Talks For Sept Fight!

What? No! No! Montiel VS Darchinyan, Mares, Donaire...not Mijares. No. No! Noooo!!!

 

Montiel will damn near kill Mijares.

 

**** fight. i thought it was gonna be montiel vs donaire? mijares has not impressed since darchinyan dominated him.

Don't really see how this doesn't end in a KO for Montiel. He'd destroy Cristian.

This could very well happen with Mijares. I'm sure enough going to admit that Montiel will be heavily favored in this fight, and rightfully so, but Boxing fans are just altogether too dismissive for my liking. Not only have we seen fighters rebound from bad performances and bad losses, like Montiel last year, but we've seen fighters lose immediately after their career best wins also.

I'll go into this fight with an open mind because I want too. Because I'm hoping Mijares can make a miraculous comeback. It's largely baseless....but so was Darchinyan dominating Mijares.

 

I dont know I try to come in with an open mind aswell, but Mijares lost three in a row, granted against decent opposition, and in his three wins since he hasnt been to good whereas Montiel was winning his fights, other than a technical draw, when people said he was shot.
