I know we've gone over this before but it can't help being revisited...As of lately alot of people here are begining to really latch on to Mijares(myself included)for all the obvious reasons, he's quick, slick, AND brave. His athleticism is other worldly by making champions and former champions look ordinary by comparison but now lets enter Fernando Montiel........

For the most part Montiel is a conventionally sound fighter, he does pretty much everything right, without all the frills, slick(sometimes unnecessary)movement, and the cute face Amsterdamn loves so much:good What really seperates Mijares and Montiel is the POWER:fire Just as I'm impressed by Mijares' slick abilities, I'm in awe at the crushing power, and accuracy(yea he rarely misses)of Montiel

Despite me being a big fan of both fighters I have to pick one to win this time I have to go against Mijares..and pick Montiel

Montiel wins this one big and in dramatic fashion late in the fight

    Montiel KO10

    Your thoughts:good

Sad thing is I'm probably a bigger Mijares fan....but damn you watch a Montiel fight and your truly saddened and scared for his opponent......no different for Mijares...
lets just hope Mijares accepts the challenge laid out by Montiel.........

    Close close fight i think.
Montiel's power may very well be the difference.

You must think to that power is coupled with solid balance and excellent timing....Montiel can counter and counter much much harder:yep

Yup . . . why not? I've seen Montiel struggle against "z" Gorrez and got an SD win . . . so it's not really that impossible. Mijares has alot better movements than Gorrez my friend.

If Gorrez can survive full route . . . why not Mijares? :yep

I don't think we can really doubt how much Montiel has improved since then though:deal Montiel has only been improving, along these same lines it's been against better competition as well so the Gorrez fight means nothing now(to me)
