...versus 19-6 (10) Saul Corral, who possesses just ONE triumph over somebody with a positive record. :!: Juan Díaz in the main event, also scheduled for eight, after freezing his comeback and taking ALL of 2015 off, with a comparatively more respectable opponent in 30-7-2 (18.) Fernando Garcia, who at least has beaten Aaron Herrera.
I'm going to watch this, because I am beholden to all televised boxing's siren call - but this couldn't be any less meaningful. Both these guys are deluding themselves if they believe they will ever return to a big stage.
I was going to PM you this last night after reading that the Baby Bull was added to the card, for some reason I thought you'd do a thread on this. But I passed out. I can't wait.
Yeah, on the one hand I'm not surprised they are reaching as deep into the barrel as Corral, but on the other it really is kind of pathetic.
Supposedly Mike has taken the past year to deal with personal issues, which he clearly had going into the third Rios match, he needs a few confidence building baby steps before throwing himself back into the mix, he should probably retire actually.
Both of them will be walking punching bags if they manage trading off their names to land an elite (or even a ranked live body) at this point.
Alvarado is past prime. And this is no wonder. Prescott, Herrera, Rios, Provodnikov... So much brutal wars without easy fights between then would destroy everyone.
He truly wasn't trained for that fight. I'm certain most on here are lost as to how difficult it is defending yourself (trying to) when you're zapped of stamina and are seeing double. It makes the toughest most badass person you've ever met into a very weak house. What most on here think is they're pussing and cowards because we have so many on here that could build a 20/0/20 record against the best with ease. But they'd rather just cyber hate for a full time job and their whole pathetic lives. I'm pumped my career is online so I swear the same clowns hate with so many alts. they do more cyber hating than anyone could possibly do for their careers. If many on here aren't getting paid for the amount of trolling they do that's the saddest, most pathetic and ambiguousimy life anyone could ever lead
Díaz actually didn't look horrible in his initial comeback in 2013 and 2014, but that was after three years off, and he never fought anybody with a pulse really, and has now had another eighteen months' layoff? :-( Nearly six years since his last meaningful competition, and in both the Márquez and Malignaggi rematches he was pretty soundly licked. Hard to imagine he could even be in 2009 or 2010 form (which puts him squarely outside the world title picture as it stood) and his engine - his chief asset in his prime - at 33 can't be half of what it was in his twenties.
