I don't think Mike can continue at the pace he has set for his career with so many battles.:tired

I must agree and say the Russian will get a TKO late in the 10th:nut

Provodnikov is enjoying his moment in the sun and rightly so as he spent the last several years paying his dues in entertaining televised wars - but he isn't what Bradley made him out to be.

Alvarado should be able to outbox him comfortably - but he might have to get off the canvas to do it, and might even get stopped depending on how dumb & macho his approach...

    No free-for-all exchanges, Mike. :nono

I'm going to favor the blue eyed Siberian in this one, just because I think his head is harder. All I know is I'm betting on the under.

How short people's memories are.

Try putting Bradley vs. Provodnikov and flashbacks of Rios hurting Alvarado out of your mind. Recall Provodnikov's entire career before that, on ESPN and back home in Russia. Think back on how most of us had sort of given up on him as world-class prospect and relegated him to "Friday night fighter" status, based on a large body of frequently underwhelming (if generally exciting) work. Remember how badly he was slated as having been "cherry-picked" for Bradley...

    Reassess. :yep

Of course the door is open for Provodnikov to knock Alvarado out, but it's open even wider for him to get widely outpointed by the resilient superior boxer. (assuming he fights intelligently)

biased here too; even if he loses watching provodnikov is great for our sport...but I'm picking prov. by KO.

Keep in mind, given the Bradley fight, Ruslan (who I liked before the Tim fight) is probably slightly 'overrated' right now (I hate that term, but it is what it is)

However, seeing as though I think both Rios and Alvarado are as well (lol), it kinda evens out a bit.

That being said, expect the image of Ruslan to return a bit down to earth after this fight, to more where it was before the Bradley fight. Remember, he has a whole career before that fight. (even though, just imo, he actually won the fight he 'lost', and so was undefeated going into the Bradley fight)

    idk, im rambling.

At any rate I hope hes able to stop Alvarado and build on the momentum he built with Bradley. But id have to dissect the fight a bit more before I say who I think will actually win.

ib your hyping up alvarado but he outboxed rios and it to took him two tries, as well he got outboxed by prescott for at least 6 rounds a guy who got beat by mitchell and mckloskey and i wouldnt considere them good.

and every body will agree bradly is better boxer than presscot, so yes alvarado can outbox him but he went life death with herrera who lost mayfield guy you think is crap, so alvarado sd my pick

Provodaknob occasionally showed signs of not liking being hit by timid Tim. Mike was able to shake Rios. Mike has the power to keep Prov off of him.
