Good job by Ruslan, I had Alvarado in this one (should have made my pick after the weigh-in), but none the less, Provo did a great job, props.

Couple of fringe pretenders to get his confidence back and then a real test to see where he's at...

Provodnikov vs Maidana would be epic but the promotional dipute will prevent it,

I scored the fight for Provodnikov through Round 10, 6-4 rounds, 96-92 points, giving Alvarado rounds 2, 3, 6, and 7, and scoring the 8th round 10-7 for Provodnikov. Alvarado won the 2nd round by boxing and moving all over the ring, and he won the 3rd round by using the shoulder roll while banging in close. With the success he had boxing and moving in the Rios rematch, I was sure that tonight he would also try to win with his boxing. But from Round 4 onwards, he never boxed and moved the way he did in the 2nd round, instead he bounced around the ring a little bit while Provodnikov stalked him, and otherwise mostly was drawn into an in-close brawl. He did manage to win Rounds 6-7 by fighting in close while outworking and outlanding Provodnikov, but finally in Round 8 Provodnikov's heavier punches seized the fight, and though Alvarado made a brave comeback attempt from the end of Round 8 onwards, he was still basically in survival mode, until Provodnikov finished him in the last minute of the 10th. Great win for Provodnikov, I expect he will now get the Pacquiao vs Rios winner. As for Alvarado, not a terrible loss, but I was disappointed by his lack of boxing skills; clearly I overrated his boxing skills based on the Rios rematch. Not sure where Alvarado goes from here, but if he wants his career to last more than 1-2 more fights, he needs to do what he can to further develop his boxing skills and movement.

Maidana should defect to Arum. Then it could be on the next card in Macao. The battle of the big-punching high-level brawlers who look vaguely Chinese but in fact aren't...in China. :yep

Pac-Ruslan would be great especially at this stage and the lack of options considering both are either TR guys or mainly fight TR guys, but still not sure it happens with the Roach/Somodio deal.

    Would be great however.
