I got Dokes based on his boxing ability but then again Baer's right hand and Dokes weak chin could be the difference.

    Dokes has the quicker hands

But I can't get away from Max's superior power and for me he also has the better chin so I'm going for the better chin of Baer here to help him force a ko win after the 8th

I'll go with Dokes. At his best he was something.

I go with this .Dokes hand speed takes control of the fight ,he hangs tough against Max s bombs .Gets him self a decision.

I think the answer might be if Max went to the body or not.

I think that'd set the stage to come over the top with that big right hand. Trouble is, I don't see him using it enough. Those fast hands of Dokes would land those combos and force Max to a pace he doesn't want. A nice slower pace and he can maybe land the bodyshots. I just think it's a dogfight and war from the opening bell & Dokes wins more rounds with that volume of shots he throws.

A fun fight to watch and at some point Dokes has to weather a storm or two. I think he does in a tough fight, no matter what the scorecards would be. It might be an 11-4 type score, but it'd be a real tough fight for Dokes and he's digging deep to win it.

Baer gets the KO at some point. It might be early.

Not sure Max bombs out Dokes early ,yep he'd a good solid punch ,but even a past it Dokes went 10 with Holyfield.

Dokes wins a hard fought fight, 11-4, 10-5 right.

Dokes was taller and quicker. i see him stopping baer late in a bruising fight.

What makes you think Doke had a weak chin?

Anyone who has a strong opinion on this one is off the mark. Would Dokes be coming off of a coke binge? Would Baer even try, or just clown around? You are talking about two of the most inconsistent fighters in history, and anything might happen in whatever twilight zone they meet in.

On their best days, probably Baer, but it really is 50-50.

i totally agree with you. i had the same thought. plus baer was also unpredictable in his technique ….throwing backhands and so on.
