Noticed a funny thing on Youtube. But maybe not so funny or surprising to alot of you... I was watching two videos of Mike Gibbons, one against Mike O'Dowd and the other sparring with his brother Tommy. I noticed the angles he gave to draw a lead left or right hand, effortless slipping or rolling with either lead, countering with a left hook or right counter himself. Setting up angles with economical footwork, maintaining distance with the left jab either to get close or back out, and employing a sneak right hand in close...a punch that's difficult to pick up as he leaned in. A punch that will totally blindside you...Then I remembered a similar punch in the Hopkins/Calzaghe fight (the knockdown), then it dawned on me... Who did Gibbons remind me of? Bernard Hopkins!!! What do you guys think? Maybe someone could post the videos for the thread?
