    Dismas, no i didnt say there was problems behind the scenes. I was just doubting Rickys mental attitude as last week he was talking to a pal of mine and was questioning his trainer, etc. I dont like to hear things like that his trainers obviously done a good job. It was just my own observation that it was a different trainer that does the talkining in the corner which i found strange. Im sure everythings ok
    Yep he has boxed at a higher weight most superfeathers do when its not a title fight, but i would agree he looks alot stronger when hes heavier. His best performance (imo) was against earl back in early 2005 im pritty sure he was 9.9/10 for that fight thats why i can see him moving into the lightweight div. Lots of quality fights up there!
    Looking forward to this, got my ticket and its a sellout!!!!

    He was very good against Earl but he came up short against CJ and AA. No disgrace there they are excellent fighters but beating two African super bantamweights doesn't demonstrate he's now performing at the highest level domestically. I can't critisise the lad he's got a creditable attitude and is very talented but this is his acid test. If he thinks AA and CJ came to fight Mike wants this more then either of those did. His career is on the line and he knows it.

    The incident where he took on James Toney at the pre fight presser is hilarious....he did better work against Toney than Ruiz did.
