Jiménez is jabbing into Pryor Jr's armpit, not quite planting it with any real starch. Pryor Jr. is outmaneuvering him and reaching up over him to paint his face with counter jabs whenever Jiménez reaches in. HUGE UPPERCUT BY PRYOR JR. Jiménez is hurt and diving in to clutch at Pryor's torso and hold on for dear life. Jiménez tries a desperate power combo and Pryor Jr. stands in the pocket trading with him before resetting at mid-range and chucking bucketfuls of jabs at him. Massive work rate from Pryor for this being the ninth.

On my card Hollywood needs at least a knockdown to not lose (and that's just preserving a repeat draw) in front of his partisan hometown crowd.

Jiménez is walking through Pryor Jr.'s trickle of left jabs, letting them cascade up his temple and hairline. Big stabbing combo inside by Jiménez, nudging Pryor Jr. across the ring with a line drive right cross after jabbing him in the sternum a few times. Pryor Jr. is cuffing his starboard wrist around Jiménez's neck and then slapping him across the face with a step-back Tim Duncan fade-away left hook. Jiménez is pumping in body shots despite huffing and puffing, spending his last remaining vestiges of moxie.

What if these guys just had a trilogy-plus, or even like a dozen fights, and it was just a draw every single time?

Dude knows he lost this. Let's see if we get a Jiménez vs. Pryor III so we can finally get a clear result between them. (and if Jiménez then gets KTFO in the process, I suppose a fourth installment for a tiebreaker).

Not a bad little blend of styles. Pryor Jr. is capable of being in ugly fights and Jiménez isn't guaranteed aesthetically pleasing, but for some reason this dynamic works.

 

"What does it mean to put the stamp on this rivalry with the win?", asks the cutie with the microphone.

Jiménez dodges the question and starts generating "easy babyface heat" with the crowd by namedropping the local firefighters union or whatever in Chicago and talking about how the city and its people inspire him.
