    Rising welterweight contender Mike Jones (22-0, 18KOs) is requesting to get his shot at WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (26-0, 20KOs). Following Friday five round technical knockout of Irving Garcia at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, the 27-year-old Jones would once again call for the Berto clash.

    I like what ive seen of jones but hes got to step up the opposition before taking a fight like that. Jones should go in against someone like quintana or D. hopkins before fighting Berto

    If he could Delvin Rodriguez convincingly, he's ready for Berto. Antwone smith may have lost las night but he could give jones all he could handle and more.

    Id pick Jones to win in an upset. He's one of the better prospects in the sport, just can't get the fights made.

    Mike Jones has the tools and the size to beat Berto but I don't know if he's ready for Berto quite yet. Its a big step to go from Garcia and Brusseles to Berto. I'd like to see him face someone like Hopkins, Holt, Abregu(if he loses to Bradley), or someone on that level next. If he wins that then make Berto-Jones for early next year.
