Soto-Karass camp wanted 8oz, why would jones the harder, faster puncher, want to go with the bigger mitts?

He got scared last time. He saw that Soto-Karass can hurt him while he can hit Him wim 80 consecutive punches and not hurt Soto.

What a chump. This is a Vegas fight. I thought Vegas it was 8oz up to WW.

Looks like he's the kind of puncher who loves to give but hates to take, like Victor Ortiz. He should've lost the first fight, and my guess he knows this guy can outpunch him, so it's better off giving up power and box safely behind the 1-2. Here's hopking Soto-Karass gets the KO this time so no judges could interfere, but Jones getting the UD is more likely, especially with boxers gloves.

Like others have said, a little hand injury or incomfort at the moment could also be the reason, which would be OK for me.

Or maybe he wants to outbox him this time and not get too much into a slugfest, which would be cowardish.

WW is 10oz unless both parties agree to 8oz. Alot of fighters suffer with their hands so the extra 2 oz's are comfort to them!

Of course thats his plan for this fight. I really doubt he wants to put himself trhough hell again and this just confirms it.
Im putting my money on a Jones UD.

Mike Jones needs to protect his hands.

Interesting...I would assume as stated above maybe a hand injury or he jus doesn't like his chances punch for punch...

He didn't make a statement as to why?

If not then i'm guess either he has hand problems or doesn't like taking the hits. I think he doesn't like taking the hits.

This is the type of boxers were watching smh.
