His resume sucks: Add some flavorful, known guys first, here are some ideas!

Kell Brook: Ranked right below him and has fought strong against nobody's.

Jan Zaveck: HE HAS A TITLE!!!!

Andre Berto: Overrated and once highly ranked is fighting Jan Zaveck so he might get a title.

Paulie Malignaggi: Ring XP. Popularity pretty high. Ranked ok.

Devon Alexander: Well known and once had belts at Light Welterweight. He is moving up to WW.

Alfonso Gomez: He has some names on his resume. People know his name.

    Your opinions? :dead

Mike Jones will NEVER fight Pac for a number of reasons, one being he is not good enough and has not proven ****.

People are to hard on mike jones, let him develop for 5/6 more fights.
A titleshot in 2/3 fights step up in competition while developing his skills, then maybe ina few years if pac is still around and the fight makes sense it can happen.

You seem to be forgetting something. Arum already mentioned Jones as a future opponent. So consider the fight as good as made within the next year.

I really like Mike Jones, but he's not ready for Manny, and to be honest doesn't deserve that fight at this point. I think a guy like Bradley, or hell even P Dub, who have paid their dues and put in the time and work are more deserving of that opportunity than Jones. Not to mention, he's simply not experienced enough, and is in no way prepared for the stage, the opponent, or anything that comes with it. IMO

I think Jones is a future champion, but a fight with Pac could ruin his career. I liked the way he bounced back and whipped Karras in their second fight, but Karas ain't Pac. He need another year of fighting gatekeepers before he is ready. I'd like to see him in with guys like Quintana to see what he can do.

ha, why are you bashing the welterweight division's best prospect......just because he is not ready to fight the top p4p fighter in the world? He is still a prospect no matter what Arum says. If I were to make a prediction; I would say he would be ready to fight pac man in about 2 years.

I cant see why you guys feel that way but its something to ponder. While I think Bradley should get the shot first, Im confident that Mike Jones can hold his own with Pac or Money. Hes got the movement and the lenght. Mosley wasnt ready for Pac and he got a shot. Ortizs resume aint no better than Jones. I think Jones is a better boxer than Otiz. Thats just me.

Jones has a good future, I think Arum just drops his name to help build some hype. Arum's not stupid, Jones brings nothing to the table for Pac fight.

The difference between Jones and other WW is that Jones aint no kid. He has poise, intelligence, excellent jab, and good movement. Hes got good lenght and he dont get rattled. Plus he got a belt which dont matter cause they giving them away.but just saying. After the Morales fight Pac just surpised a bunch of old timers and bums that under estimated his power. Jones will not be bowled over by Pac or Money.

Definately. He needs a few more fights against the best opposition available to solidify himself as a legitimate contender before even contemplating challenging Pac. I think, or I hope Arum was just using the prospect of a Pac-Mike Jones fight next year to help get his young charge's name out there and isn't seriously considering it.

Jones needs to wait for 2013 to fight Pac, in 2012 he has no chance yet
