Yes it is. Almost all fights at 147 in Nevada are conducted with 8 oz gloves May maidana May guerrero Pac Mosley Pac bradley And many others
Exactly...ALMOST all fights at 147. ALMOST. But according to NSAC rules, regulations, policy & procedure...147 fights are 10 oz gloves
you can keep posting some b.s. bylaw on here from Nevada BUT NOBODY EVER FIGHTS IN 10oz GLOVES AT 147 OR BELOW NEEEEEVVVVVEERRRR.
IF MIKE JONES DEMANDED 10oz GLOVES THERE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN A FIGHT. BECAUSE NOBODY HAS EVER AGREED TO FIGHT IN 10'S BELOW 154!
Sorry you're wrong, Cotto did refuse the 8oz gloves. If BOTH fighters agree on 8oz then they can use 8oz gloves. Learn the facts before jumping in threads claiming you know about the topic
IF that's true we know each other but I highly doubt you're legit. What specifically were they making all the sparring partners do while they were resting ? And what was Floyd calling all the sparring partners in the Ring ? You can prove yourself legit right now or be exposed. .. I'll wait
Powerlock gloves aren't pillows atsch Jones didn't have stamina issues. He would always throw close to 900-1000 punches a fight with a lot of movement. The one time he gassed out in the JSK I fight, he just threw a 100 punch combo trying to finish him.
Don't have the fighters off the top of my head but I'm almost positive a few jmw fights used 8oz.. have to research who and when but pretty sure it's been done. If both fighters agree they can use 8oz
yeah I was shocked to read that. He only weighed 154 pounds against Bailey on fight night also. He doesn't need to move up, but just gain more weight in his legs.
Even if the prize was only a block of fresh provolone cheese, I would bet my life that he walks around higher than 152. Nonito Donaire says he walks around at 150. And he is a Featherweight who has glided up 4 divisions in just over half a decade. I can't believe people believe stuff like this when it comes to "walk around weight." These dudes walk around WAY heavier than they fight and there are very, very few exceptions. Each of those exceptions are visually believable, for varied reasons, too (Rigondeaux, Mayweather, Pacquiao). Mike Jones is not one of those guys.
well I'm just quoting him. He did an interview months back saying that he was walking around at 152 pounds while having no fight planned
