Jones is a China Chinned Hype Job and his Fragile Glass Mandible will shatter very soon. You can tell by his recent tentativeness that he is also aware that his Chin is harboring some serious Glass and he'll continue to fight defensively and predominantly behind the jab to hide it.

Lujan seems to have a good jaw.

Jones is a work in progress. I really want to see him become a better ring general, better/more comfortable defensively on the backfoot, not lean in so much, and develop a strong/distance-controlling jab. Good performance, but definitely some areas to work on.

I agree. Did you see him drive off his back foot later in the fight with his jab. I hope to see him do more of that in the future.

But he really needs a new trainer. He didn't pick his shots well enough for me today and he loads up too much and I don't think that's something he can change in the middle of the fight. I think he needs to train differently.

    Overall though, good performance

Yeah, there were some times where he really threw a stiff jab and it looked excellent. But there was just too much flurrying and not enough precise punching as you said. I think the physical tools are there. I want to see this guy brought up right, trained well, and make the most of his potential. Wonder what's next?

    I feel ya
I think they want him to fight Randall Bailey for the IBF vacant title. That's a very winnable but dangerous fight

He's ****ing boring and lackadaisical. I'm sorry, I just don't like him. I much prefer Broner and Russel as upcoming fighters.

There's no cheating going on. That said, he's just not as good as the guys who were the top guys in his class a few years ago. I know it's in vogue to rip him, and he's gone downhill, but I suspect Paul Williams at 147 would have beaten him pretty convincingly.

I would like to see him against Kell Brook. Two prospects in that weight class, probably to etwo best at this point, but neither of them is convincing me of much,
