Is this the direction he is headed, fighting an IBF title eliminator?

Would the Jones vs Berto winner be considered a worthy and feasible (PPV wise) opponent for Floyd, or perhaps Pac?

    Interested in your thoughts. :think

Berto vacated his belt to fight Ortiz. Mike did an interview and said he was disappointed and was looking forward to fighting him

I did not know Berto vacated, thanks. :good

So it looks like Jones will face off with Bailey for the title if he gets by Lujan.

Same question then, if Jones wins the belt is he a worthy Pac/Floyd opponent?

27-0 IBF champ with a good amateur career.

:think I'd like to see him beat a somebody one level above Lujan, but I think if he impresses vs Lujan, then he's game.

Really? The guy is 6'0" and can punch. That alone would make fights with the much smaller Floyd/Pac interesting, IMO.

Looks like he will have to prove that in a rematch with Berto.

Ok im a little lost here :huh , i thought Jones Lujan was being promoted to a vacant IBF title fight ?? ...........

For Berto it all depends how his rematch with Ortiz goes , i myself have never been convinced that Berto is a world beater , world class certainly but never elite , or never will be , im not sure he'll ever prove me wrong however ...................

Anyway , if Berto beats the newly highly regarded Ortiz he'll be sitting pretty with good momentum going into his following fight , the way things pan out that could be one of many , Jones would certainly strike me as a) suitable and b) beatable for Berto , hence getting him a belt back and keeping the momentum going

Berto has expressed interest in Kell Brook , matchroom promotions claim to have him a title shot in March which can only be Senchenko or Jones / Lujan , so who knows where Berto fits in ??

It is being billed as a title eliminator up at boxrec right now. Not sure if that has changed in the last few days?

The IBF website has Bailey as their highest rated fighter (he is #2, #1 is unrated as usual).

Jones Berto is a good match but the Ortiz rematch is better

in the meantime Jones should fight maybe Zavek or try to get Kell Brook

Its gonna go like this, jones vs lujan vs bailey= ibf champ, I hope the winner faces off with ortiz vs berto 2, then after that the winner is deserving of pac/may.
