Apparently he's known for being high strung and hard for managers/promoters to deal with. People were willing to deal with all the high maintanence baloney when he was undefeated. Not so much now that he's been laid out. If he had been less trouble to put up with maybe he would have found his way back to a title shot. Must be odd for Jones to watch JSK's success. Jones thrashed JSK in their rematch but didn't do **** after Bailey. JSK beat Aydin, Berto, and then earned a fortune against Thurman, and he's still poised for big fights as a solid gatekeeper.
Jones wasn't that good. Just a big guy who could shrink down to 147. As far as tall WW's who fell short of expectations go, Brad Solomon was more talented.
:deal Mike had a 3 stage jab. He'd push it out there...let it fall to his waist...then haul it up to his chin. Sometimes I wonder who's training these guys.
To be fair to Mike Jones losing to Bailey is no disgrace as Bailey is probably one of the biggest punchers at the 140-147 lbs.
