Is nothing more than a white version of canelo. He will never fight anyone because hes making too much green fighting bums.

I was at his last fight. He hurt the dude and got all excited and threw a bunch of unecessary punches. He got tired and touched up a little. As soon as he gets in there with someone with decent skills he will fold. He cant take a bodyshot to save his life.

I cant believe he was on the front page of the sports in the register and had half a page on the middle talking about how he wont quit till hes champion. Maybe they will hand him a belt just like canelo. There were damn near almost as many mike lee fans as there was rios fans at that fight.

Im not hating, i just understand when a guy is gettin paid good coin to fight bums they wanna milk the **** outta it.

    Mike Lee is a BUM!

Yeah, probably. I boxed on the Notre Dame boxing team, and to be honest with you the more talented guys have already done golden gloves and are trying out at the olympics or thinking of turning pro instead of collegiate programs, there was a range of talents but just being a "captain" of that team doesn't mean you are a great fighter.

I won't say he's a bum, but he sure ain't the next sugary ray leonard/roy jones/ Floyd Mayweather, who were much more outstanding amateurs and didn't go through the college boxing club system.

I agree I was at Carson and after he dropped that hammer in the first (I thought dude was out cold) the opponent got up and weathered the storm to which lee lost confidence and quickly got desperate with wild shots instead of settling and finishing this beaten fighter in front of him....but anyways candid he have a fan base there:admin

Seems like a lot of complaining for a guy who's only had 6 pro bouts. Let's be realistic, they can't all have opponents early on like Guillermo Rigondeaux... or do you really believe that?

If you must compare him to anyone, try Chavez Junior rather than Canelo. Chavez has the most padded record in boxing today, and the same promoter as well.
    Thanks Mr. Arum.

This. A white Canelo isn't an insult either, Canelo's 20 and already a champ (okay, the belt he got was award in an undeserving fashion) and is stepping up his competition gradually. I don't think Lee's going to be amazing but he's got a good future and already a strong fanbase. Quit hating.

You comparing a 20 year old belt holder to a guy that isn't even considered a prospect is a joke.

Mike Lee gets press because he's popular due to his Notre Dame connections. Honestly the guys not bad for a neophyte club amateur.

Ironically enough, I think the "white Canelo" is darker than the real Canelo.
