Mike Lee is being hand-fed a little bit too much.

Seriously. Most here know him, He was in Subway Commercials for years ( since he started boxing ), fights on TV against cans, and now I found out he'll be in an 8, 6 rder on the Martinez-Chavez Jr opening up the 5 bout telecast! I know he went to Notre Dame and is a pretty decent up and coming fighter despite some clear limitations like his defense but why does this get him so many Freebies?


I don't like it, It's disrespectful to the people who work hard in boxing and build their way up, Fighting hard, fight by fight all because he was lucky in life.

His latest freebie pisses me off the most, he gets an HBO PPV opener slot, Against a NOBODY showcase, only 6-8 Rounds, His opponent? Paul Harness... 4-3-0... Great, Nice one boxing, on a big PPV many will buy on Cinco De Mayo meant to show what boxing is made of you hang up a punching bag for Mike Lee. This is a shame, Plus as I wrote in an article the other day ( http://www.blboxing.co.cc/2012/08/contender-will-rosinsky-wants-mike-lee.html ) Will " Power " Rosinsky was also offering to fight Lee, He pushed to get it but lee didn't accept. You may remember Rosinsky for giving Kelly Pavlik a game fight last time out, he works with the NYPD, He also fought and nearly beat ( Some thought he did ) top 10 contender Edwin Rodriguez, So lee turns down a big fight for a Showcase on PPV? What a Mofo shocker!

I am done with this, Lee is one of them fighters I was very high on early, A young kid, Many choices, Chooses to join our Pugilistic Arts, No, He is milking our sport like a cow for whatever he can get, What a shame,

 

Lees a decent fighter don't get me wrong, But the way he is being, He deserves to be KO'd. Rosinsky may have done that who knows,

 

That was a disappointing showing. :-(
