Mike McCallum on the best fighters he has faced

    I'm a BIG BIG Hearns fan, but I think you're right. McCallum would've been a nightmare for Hearns. He's never been KOed because of his great technique/defense/chin and he could bang when he wanted to take the other guy out.

    I've always thought McCallum would of been out-boxed early by Hearns, but that he would of walked him down and put the pressure on, somewhat how he did against McCrory, and started to wear him down to the body and would eventually stop him. I dont think Hearns was that great on the backfoot and I dont think he had very good stamina, or a stellar chin. He was also not the puncher he was on the front foot. De Witt put him onto his heels and neutralized the power somewhat. Barkley also had success backing up him and putting it on him.
