Such a quintessential fight of its era, or really all-time, in proving & justifying the sometimes overused adages that "styles make fights", "timing beats all", "it can all change with just one punch" and "hand down, man down / keep that right home".

Great foght and ending.

 

Curry had a short prime.....for about 2 years he was the best pound for pound boxer in the world ( in my book anyway )

 

Curry makes these modern day pretenders from Texas look like unskilled pansies.

 

Beautiful fight between 2 great technicians. Curry was doing well picking his spots at a distance while McCallum got the better on the inside while slowly waiting for the right moment to unleash a big shot that Curry didn't see coming. I still don't understand why Curry kept his hands lowered against McCallum when he usually used a higher guard and tighter defense previously.
