Well the first thing to notice is that Barkley's power means absolutely nothing. No way is he knocking out McCallum who has one of the greatest chins of all-time. So Barkley's best bet is to crowd the smaller McCallum for 12/15 rounds to a decision win. Personally I think McCallum would be able to beat Barkley. I think althought size is a factor and I for one wouldn't want to see Mike fight Iran on the inside, I do think his countering, defense and fundamentals would be too much for the brawling street fighter - Barkley. Points win or even a late stoppage for McCallum
Mike is on another level skillwise to barkley. I wouldn't rule out a late stoppage here. Mike could easily outjab iran but when the going gets tough he's just as strong and he's a better inside fighter also. I'd expect a mercy stoppage as iran is on the ropes. For what's it's worth I thought mike beat james toney in the first fight but lost in the second. Great fighter.
McCallum might stop him, especially in a 15 round fight. Even an older McCallum would win a comfortable decision. Barkley might land his bombs on McCallum at times, he certainly had the will to try, but nobody was able to stop McCallum in the pros and his chin was certainly tested at the highest level. Unlike an aging Hearns, McCallum could match Barkley on the inside as well, the way he did as an older man against Jeff Harding. There's no real chance of Barkley outpointing McCallum and a very slight chance of him scoring a KO.
dammit BE...i completely agree with nothing smartass to add. as one of your many unofficial supporters, you're giving me nothing to work with!
I think Mike would do a job on him. Barkley was nails but i give McCallum a very good chance of stopping him.
