Thinking Valdez can give him issues with his great counterpunching and he had great punch selection and a wide arsenal of punches, he can fit the uppercuts through those earmuffs of McCallum and bodyshots, but would McCallum take him into deep waters and go through the gears or even be able to outbox him on the outside and just not have to give him counterpunching opportunities?
    Who wins this matchup?

I think Mccallum by points in a close fight as Mccallum was tall & rangy like Monzon and valdez had problems with tall rangy fighters plus the body shots would eventualy slow Valdez down.

Both these fighters are really fun litmus tests for how good this forum thinks certain fighters are btw. Briscoe too for some reason. If the forum thinks a fighter is elite, then they'll get a close points win against any of these three. If they're seen as a bum, hype-job, or just good, then polls become more split and people will take it as an opportunity to voice their dislike of a fighter.

Valdez points, as this style matches up well for him. Mike wasnt a mover or a big threat from the outside, nor did did he pack a whopping punch like Rodrigo did. I think this fight is in a straight line which favors Valdez, so think Mike being a poor mans Monzon .. with Valdez getting thru much easier .... I dont lnow but I'm liking Valdez here

McCallum was rangy but not truly a boxer,he can move but mostly to pick his opponents apart from the outside, without truly moving around the ring.

Either man could win,but I thought Valdez might achieve the SD l.
