I notice he hasn't fought since Golota. I remember he took a pretty severe beating for 12 rounds and his legs were looking pretty bad. Does anyone know what's up with this cat?

I don't know, he may still be healing from the Golota fight. I like Mollo, he is undersized but will bring the action to bigger guys.

Is he retired or does he intend to keep fighting?

Totally disrespectful. Mollo may not be an elite fighter but he's already accomplished more in boxing than 99% of pro boxers ever did (i.e., got a minor belt, was televised on national TV several times, was ranked in the top 10 of his weight class). I don't think you realize how many boxers try to eek their way towards just one of those 3 achievements and never make it. Besides, if a guy like Mollo is a bum then what are you? A piece of insignificant ****?

I don't think he called him a "super being," he pointed out facts about his career that many other boxers never even come close to sniffing.

To be honest, to call any boxer a bum is probably not fair.

Again you revert to your idiotic exaggerations, kind of like a dumb groupy. No one said Mollo is elite or is a super being, but to call someone - who has achieved more than 99% of pro heavyweights ever will in their career - a bum is just infantile and disrespectful. Go to boxrec and check how many people currently contend in the heavyweight division. The reality is that someone like Mollo is near the top of this gigantic heap and you don't even realize it.

So Mollo belongs in the "super 1%"?

    I wouldn't think so

If you consider all heavyweights registered as pros - thousands of names you've never even heard of - its at least the top 10% and probably higher. The reality is that as boxing fans, we are being shown a very small slice of the sport and sometimes we forget that.

Not only that, but there are American prospects out there that are so overrated yet people don't seem to recognize Mollo becuase he lost to a "past prime" Golota.

Agree, according to boxrec they're are 1122 registered boxers at heavyweight. Also according to Boxrec, Mike Mollo is rated 50th. That's around the top 4.5 percent. Say what you want about Boxrec and their rankings, but I think most would agree that Mollo is around AT LEAST a top 50 heavyweight.

Any top 50 guy in his weight class is easily in the top 1%; more like the top .1% to be honest. There are likely ten of thousands of pro heavywieghts the world over plying their trade.

50th is too low for him, he could beat alot of fighters above him

He only lost to Touch of Coma and Golota... and he KO'd McBride and Binkowski. He's accomplished more than most of the "newer" American prospects. Before his fight with Golota he was "ranked", just like Haye is ranked now.

Yep, the numbers speak for themself and contradict common perceptions. Just before Golota, Mollo was in the top 10, mainly for beating McBride.

LOL, I just noticed Demitrice King (14-15) is ranked 29th by Boxrec...that's just sad. My point it, I'm fairly certain Mollo could take him.
