Good fight for him after a long layoff. Gibson is durable and cagey. Should probably go the distance and at the very least give him some rounds.

Division is wide open. If Perez was active and in shape he would have had a good chance at picking up a vacant belt... Now he's going to have to make up for lost time... crush several bums in a row and hope he's selected to fight for a vacant belt.

Perez needs to fight Solis in a Cuban pie eating contest.

Perez is yet another what if story. Had he been better managed/luckier/gone with a trainer who could motivate him he could have really brought something to the division. As it is he's a never was with an asterisk next to his name.

Perez makes Joseph Parker look like Sonny Liston in the reach department. He's got ridiculously short arms. Unless he can effectively close distance against the larger fighters in the division his chances are limited.

I don't see much room for him in the division but I guess if Charr can become interim champ something xould happen for him as well. Actually, Charr vs Perez would be real interesting. 50/50ish fight
