I understand he is 1 of the group of Cubans trained by Glen McCory. He is 8-0, but has not fought anyone other the losers.

His name should be in the mix amongst Tyson Fury, David Price, Larry ..., Derek Chisora, Sam Sexton & Tom Dallas.

Anyone seen him and can comment whether he has potential?

Yes he has potential. You can easily check YouTube, video is readily available. He is a short, stocky type guy that looks to use head movement to get inside. His style is interesting, more or less a heavyweight Gamboa. The only real problem could come when he is facing huge heavyweights with a big size and reach advantage over him, I'd like to see how his Gamboa defence fairs in that scenario. Overall he's obviously small for a heavy.

I doubt any of the names you mention would threaten him greatly.

Seen him a good few times now. He's very mobile for a HW, has decent power and also has a better array of punches at his disposal than most heavy's would.

As mentioned though he might have a problem against the juggernaut-class of HW, those with big weight and reach advantages.

should really be a cruiser thats the only issue hes under 6ft i think. also hes not english, so shouldnt be mentioned along with those guys. and tom dallas certainly shouldnt be mentioned along with them. If Tom Dallas reaches full potential he will get to the semi final of Prizefighter.

No he's 6 foot alright, seen him in person though and he's small for a Heavyweight. Don't think he could make Cruiser though, he's quite stocky.

Mike Perez isn't even Cuban his real name is Mickey Peters. He's from Dublin and he had a skin graft and went to cuba to get some amateur experience. Can't believe you guys really think he's cuban.

He's beat all those guys you mentioned.

He's awesome, only think that's a worry is his lack of height.

your right there the boy hasnt a hope of making CW

Hes sparred with tyson fury a few times the first time they sparred perez was about a stone over weight and fury was able to land on him and he was able to get in and put all his weight down on him aswell.

the second time Perez coming close to his fighting weight and Fury had problems trying to land on him. His speed caused no end of troubles for the big man!

Just a note on Tyson Fury was talking to him there on Saturday hes a nice enough chap was rather humble which surprised me as he comes across the complete oposite in the papers and on tv interviews.

Paddy, i found Fury either shy and quiet or else not interested. He spoke softly or something and said very little.
