Perez early I think as well, he really is miles ahead of all of the British domestic talent. I suppose he is a pure muscle built Cuban after all.
Price would struggle with the pressure of Perez, i reckon the end result wouldn't be dissimmilar to his fight against Cammarelle in the olympics.
I think Price is too big for Perez. And yes Tye Fields I know I know..... But Price is a completely different animal who will control the distance much better and I don't think Perez is really athletic enough to work his way inside. But i really think that Price would end up wearing him down for a stoppage in the second half of the fight. In all honesty we haven't seen either in fights at a decent enough level to accurately say but those are my intuitions
This fight won't happen any time soon anyway, i doubt the Price camp would be overly keen on it. Price certainly has talent, but you can't ignore the amount of times he was down as an amateur. Ok, in heavyweight boxing anyone can go down but i'd still favour Perez here. Price showed against Cammarelle he has difficulty facing pressure fighters, it was 3 years ago and you could argue he's developed significantly, but he's yet to face a good pressure fighter like Perez in his pro career.
Yeah, quite possibly. Perez and Price are both talented guys, but i think it's fair to say their level of opposition at present has been weak. Perez definitely has faults of his own, he's very open defensively and if he walk's on to a Price right hand at full force it will surely be good night, it simply depends on how Price would cope with Perez's all-action style. I believe McDermott has been promised a final eliminator against Price, so that's one to look forward to.
I am using history and thinking Perez is a Mason type fighter, and Price is Lewis type. At the time I picked Mason...:admin
I'd like to see Perez fight some decent opposition whoever it is. If I was a tall HW with a solid jab and decent right hand like Price I'd fancy the job.
