Thats fine but honestly is Jennings' or Perez beating even Arreola let alone wilder or pluev or fury or stevern... List goes on and on
And props to Jennings for hanging tough and dealing with all the fouling by Perez. Jennings, in spite of his reach advantage did his best work inside, and Perez was spoiling by doing his best Klitschko impression. Jennings finally got tired of it and started to spin out of the leaning and pushing down and threw a wicked body shot on the break. I was proud Jennings did that. While the ref was warning Perez about 10-12 times during the fight, I couldnt believe he finally took a point only after Perez bulldozed Jennings into the ropes......though he was gonna push By into the press row.....then when the ref repeatedly to them to break, since Perez had done that several times, Perez launched a monster OH L that rocked Jennings. Good point deduction, but it should have been the last of 3 and a DQ win for By By Jennings.:thumbsup
It wasn't a very good advert for modern day heavyweight Boxing. Both fighters can best be described as mediocre.
Averagemak had little trouble with Arreola Perez would beat him down, and Jennings would ruff him up. Arreolas best win was a semi retired McCline or a green Witherspoon. Let Arreola step up to a young hungry HW who wouldnt throw his load in the first rd.:deal
People have to understand what happened with Mike after the fight with Mago, he should retire because it's obvious he can't throw bombs anymore.
And who needed to impress but didn't ? Jennings... He better get moved slower than he is now ... I'll say this for a guy who walked in the gym 5 years ago I am impressed but he needs more experience
He has 12 KOs in 20 victories. Where were all these bombs to begin with. 43 yo McCline dropped Mago with one punch. Perez was hitting him with dozens of unanswered shots.:huh:huh
Jennings never hurt Perez he is a pure boxing and I use "pure" lightly let's see him face a legit puncher
All this fight tells us is Jennings really isnt that good. And that Perez is devolving as a fighter! If Perez was in shape the fight would have been his easily. After 3 rounds I was thinking, Perez looks tired, is that possible? If you can't even bother to get in shape, you should get out of boxing! Forget the dirty fighting, that fat, out of shape turkey should have been DQed for trying to impersonate a fighter! Honestly, I can't figure out how some of these guys think. Did Perez really think he was giving a good performance, that boxing fans thought the fight was exciting, or that the fans would want to see him fight again? I'm not really defending Jennings, because he could have and should have done much better, but how can anyone look good against a fat, clinging leach like Perez? Some of us thought this might be the fight of the night. Man, how can we be so wrong about some fighters?! Maybe Perez has a medical problem? I know for sure that he is not improving. It really was a pathetic performance. Do you reckon the Abdusalamov fight could be his problem?
Jennings is just a solid contender he will not be champion at least a respected one, don't want to sound like a hater I just think he is better than what I thought but still not good enough
Neither Perez or Jennings is anything special. Perez has not regressed. He's just medicore. Jennings is marginally less mediocre. If Perez came in better fighting shape instead of being lazy, he would have won. Like I said, I rather take a fighter who is less talented, but works harder than a more talented, but lazy fighter.
You don't have an excuse for your boy pulling out of the fight cause he was gonna get destroyed deal:deal
