The stream is provided by a camp member (alias "Boxeo Cubano" on UStream), present backstage with Team Perez, authorized to be recording on his iPhone. Found money here, folks. On the other hand, don't expect much for quality. The person's hands do get shaky at times (if you don't like watching movies like Cloverfield, you might be in for a queasy ride...) and the feed keeps stopping & needing to be refreshed. Oh yeah - and no undercard. I mean, obviously. :yep The person recording is hanging out in the locker room with Perez as part of his entourage - not out watching the rest of the fights. So until Perez goes on, there will be lots of...well, this. Roberto Garcia wrapping Perez's hands, shooting the breeze...um, yawning, stretching. Waiting.
Well, sometime in the near future, yeah. There are 5 undercard bouts on the pro boxing side, plus apparently 3 MMA bouts. The first bell only rang about 40 minutes ago, 7:30pm local time. (doors were at 6:30 Pacific/9:30pm EST) So this could take awhile... You'll just have to keep your eyes glued to Perez & his buddies sitting around for a couple of hours...and eventually (unless Mr. Boxeo Cubano goes for a tinkle and fumbles his iPhone into a toilet) you'll get to see the main event.
Yeah, I'm gonna burn some time researching & posting a thread about obscure teenage Filipino identical twin flyweight prospects. Not that all of this doesn't look super compelling. edit: OH SNAP! Brandon Rios just rolled in...and gave Perez daps! The plot thickens. (into like, extra watery cream of wheat consistency)
Alright, the live feed cut out for about ten minutes. We're back and the cameraman is out in the crowd area or the lobby, chatting up some people, grabbing a beer. :yep I can hear the bell ringing, hopefully this SOB isn't slacking off while Perez is actually in the ring.. That better just be an undercard bout I'm hearing.
He just escorted his friends (some middle-aged Spanish-speaking couple) backstage to briefly, awkwardly meet Perez. Now they're back out in the public zone. They keep saying "MMA", guessing that's what is on and they're making fun of it, going by the eye-rolling and snickering. WHY DOES THIS GUY KEEP ZOOMING IN ON THE HUSBAND'S FACE? Even when the wife is talking. atsch
