Mike Spinks vs Tommy Hearns

Spinks was 93-7 as a amatuer. Hearns was 155-8.. Spinks at pro was 31-1 Hearns was 61-5-1 Spinks 226 rounds and Hearns 380. Both moved up in weight and Hearns fought Cuevas, Benitez,Leonard, Duran,Hagler,Hill. and Spinks fought Qawi,Johnson, Holmes, Cooney.

 

I am not talking head to head, but someone said Spinks better? I don't think so. Hearns was knocked out 3 times and Spinks once, but there is no proof Spinks was better. Chin? Not jab. He was awkward and found ways to win. I respect Spinks. The Holmes win was great, but Larry was older. That is Spinks best win.

 

Hearns has power but I don’t think he can carry it to that weight against a natural LH that beat a still very good Holmes
