Mike "Subway Guy" Lee on PPV

    Apparently Arum's wholesome, white, Irish Catholic, intelligent Notre Dame grad will be on the undercard of Chavez Jr-Martinez. I really don't understand what's going on with this kid. From what I've seen on youtube he looks like a C level "put your head down, swing, and hope for the best" fighter and yet he's in the same commercials as Michael Phelps, Nastia Liukin and Michael Strahan.

    Does Arum see him as a future cash cow? Maybe boxings version of Tim Tebow?

    Fought last night on "Solo Boxeo." 1st round KO over a nothing opponent. Early on in his career, so let's see what he can become...

    Arum card for Chavez/Martinez sucks ****.
    I'm watching GBP then tuning in for the Chavez destruction of the old timer.

    That's kind of my point. He's fighting no name schmos and is only 10 fights deep, yet he is in Subway commercials and is fighting on PPV.

    he's an alright fighter. He's hyped up a lot because of his fanbase. His school brings out a lot of fans and his dad is rich and does something (I forgot what it was), but it is why he's got so much exposure. His dad's the reason he got on a subway commercial with only 10 fights

    I rarely go to Quiznos because there's not one near my house, so subway :yep

    Last time I went to Quiznos was years ago, but it was good :p

    Subway is going to be a sponsor of that ppv card so Arum is putting him on the card as part of the deal he and Subway worked out.

    From what I've seen of Lee he doesn't look like he'll ever be world-class but he gives 100% and is developing a fan base so we'll probably see a lot of him in the next few years.

    He ****ing sucks. Changing a fight from 6 to 8 rounds b/c he was being outworked by a no-name Mexican told me all I need to know about this fraud. Typical overrated Notre Dame trash.

    Not impressed with him at all. Top Rank can guide him to a 20-0 record and probably get him a title shot at some point...but he'll get beat up by the top guys.
