I saw most of it on HBO. I must admit it was better than I thought it would be, mostly because Tyson tells a good story and has good comedic timing. If you looking for more details on his **** convection, or biting Holyfields ear, you wont much of that that in the Undisputed Truth as Tyson hardly talks about it. I suppose villains even charismatic ones like Tyson dont always want their audience to know the complete truth unless of course its to make you feel sorry for them. This is especially true when he talks about the death of his daughter However, there are some high points such as his relationship with Cus DAmato, the infamous Atlas gun incident, and excellent photography that is projected onto the stage. Has anyone else seen it?
I saw it and didn't like it very much. I've watched a tone of bio on Tyson so I was really looking forward to this but I feel it was much more and show then the actual truth. There were some interesting parts throughout but alot of it I think he made up for the show especially the Mitch Green street fighting incident I guarantee Tyson didn't hit him with a round house kick :-(
I'm in the middle of his book, which is amongst the most astonishing things i've ever read, in any medium. Not seen this though.
I am reading the book too, but am still in his childhood. I agree, it's impressive and pretty astonishing.
I loved it!..A side of Tyson we rarely get to see and its nice to hear him talk about the ****, his relationship with Cus, Mitch Green and his prison time!. Would you guys like it more if he was just sitting on a stool reading from Q cards or would you wanna see the real Tyson like is shown in this documentary.??
I saw his live show at the Pantages in Los Angeles. It was good but not great. I've milked everything there is on Tyson so I was expecting some truths that were never exposed. The Brad Pitt story was one of them but nothing else. The book is much broader and includes more of the psychological training that Cus imposed on Mike. Definitely buy the book.
Mike and Robin Givens were going through their divorce but still banging on the side. One night Mike went to Robin's house looking to get laid and nobody was home. Mike started to leave when Robin pulled up in her car with what looked to be a girlfriend of hers in the passenger seat. Instead of Robin's girlfriend it turned out to be Brad Pitt. It demoralized Mike since he wanted Robin for the night but Brad got to her first.
I have been slowly working my way thru it on HBO, but honestly, I don't really like it. Seeing Mike hopping around the stage like that just doesn't do anything for me. A lot of it just seems phony to me, like the whole Mitch Green thing. I know he punched him out but the whole drawn out thing was a bit much. This whole cute, cuddly Mike thing seems forced to me. I think Mike has gone Hollywood. Also have the book, but I have a long way to go with that, its a big book, but I know most of these stories anyway
Tyson is a first rate con man and anyone that thinks all of a sudden the beast has been tamed is a moron. He needs money and he is performing .. what about his two second glitch a month back where he said he was still a druggie and boozer but then it was quickly hushed up ? I do wish Tyson well and do hope ultimately he finds peace but this campaign, like his bok and show are pure BS …
Thats a beast that cannot be tamed!..But I do believe that most of it is fact I dont believe Tyson is smart enough or capable of making up some elaborate story just to save face!!..And ofcourse he needs the money the IRS has been on his ass for 10 years so I dont blame him!
I'm sure there is a lot of truth based stuff in there but his motivation and the sales act is a sales act and all for money which is fine let's not just believe this is a new, toothless tiger no way.
