No worries, if you feel versions of the fighters outside the specified parameters are relevant then I refer you to this

... another Steward trained boxer with similar characteristics to Klitschko.

..... a few more fighters who either beat, or almost beat Wlad who were several levels below Tyson. And I kept to when they weren't shot.

Tyson will just have to walk to the ring, with scarey music playing, and both brothers bang heads trying to climb out of there.

Tyson - It would take a special kind of performance to defeat him in '88 and I doubt Wlad is the one to deliver it.

Wlad had a world's better jab. He controlled entire fights, nay entire years of the division, with that ramrod, versatile jab. Wlad hit a helluva lot harder, preferring straight, long shots while Tony likes to close distance more and wing. Tony thought he could win a firefight for a few rounds until he discovered he couldn't and didn't really have a Plan B. Wlad's Plan A (or should we say Manny's Plan A) is the correct plan. And Wlad was stronger and could control the little man in clinches.

    You're welcome.

Nah Tyson was well past it at that point. I'd favor Lewis or prime Tyson but only slightly. I just think Mike Tyson would be a nightmare for Wladimir Klitschko. Vitali on the other hand would give Tyson some serious fits

Thats a falsity. He couldn't control Peter , Brewster or Povetkin with his jab. Tyson was harder to outjab than them. Tyson's style was literally developed to strike down guys like Wlad. The bob n weave style is all wrong for Wlad.. ALL wrong for him
The fight would look like Tyson vs Carl Williams

    Bingo

Tyson is all wrong for WK, he would put him in total panic mode.............WK ran like a deer against the Heavyweight Fraud of the decade David Haye who would be lucky to see the second round against Tyson plus WK aint got no uppercut or granite chin like Tucker......when you are going life and death with a unskilled slow wiiiiide telegraphing Caveman Sam Peter your goose is cooked beyond cooked vs Tyson.

Yeah, Mike had all the answers for Bonecrusher, Tucker, Green and Douglas... Guys who couldn't hold Wlad's jock. Mike's kryptonite was big, strong guys who fought big and strong.

He had all the answers for Tucker when he won every round. Douglas had uppercuts and combination punching. Wlad would not have survived the punch that caught Douglas at the bell.
Your guy literally turned his back and ran away from Povetkin and Sam Peters. These are the facts about Wlad.. Controlling guys on the outside with jabs is not a fact , its a falsity. Therefore your pick of WK is based purely on biased fandom

Don't think Wlad wins this even with the most biased referee. Mike is finding that chin eventually.

Wlad is to easily flustered and Tyson will do a Frazier/ Ali on Wlad.

Wlad gets caught at some point, and his chin and composure will let him down. His brother Vitali on the other hand I would favor against Tyson.

Wlad, will have to survive the first 6 rounds until he gets Tyson's measure, then he could methodically beat Tyson down. I think Wlad gets caught before he can establish himself.

This is the strange thing about boxing discussions too much energy is focused around the class of the opponent and not the fighters themselves who gave them trouble. They say Purity/Douglas would be destroyed by Wlad/Tyson but neglect the fact Tyson is not Purity nor is Wlad Buster. In order to make the argument for "X beats Y because Y lost to G and G is nothing to X" You would assume they watched more then the one fight of the fighter they are building the case off of the example being Purity. I am almost certain they only saw the Wlad bout so Tyson>Wlad but Ross while he was not all round better he had different tells, skills, timing and a better chin ect that allowed him to win a lot unique to himself that Tyson would not have.

Nothing is simple in the game of inches.

I see Tyson getting outboxed for a couple rounds, then BOOM.

    Tyson midround KO.
