He was 23 years old! Of course he was in his prime. He showed up poorly trained, under-prepared and overconfident. Even his own corner didn't have an enswell. But it doesn't mean he wasn't in his physical prime. He just lost to an underrated talent who brought his A game. These things happen in boxing.

I think 96 year old Tyson beats 3 year old Toney but it might be a close one

 

This Tyson couldn't handle anyone firing back.Toney isn't gonna fall over or quit like the 4 Post prison foes up to that point. Post 1991 Tyson in the 90s was poor,all he had was power and speed and Toney had seen Middleweight speed and defensively hard to catch.Holyfield was no slouch punch wise...neither Peter and Rahman.....none of them have Tysons murderous power so that's obviously the real threat but I still think Mike could conceivably get frustrated and gas very late on.

But I tend to think the consensus is right toneys never met the barrage of speed ,power and variety even a rusty tyson has and toneys own offence is not gonna bother this 96 Mike as much as it woulda say 04/05 finished Mike.
