Well, if you don't like the thread, then why not just don't click on it? I didn't start it for smart-asses like you to make stupid, childish remarks. This is an appreciation thread. If you have nothing to add to this thread that is positive, then just don't come on this thread, it's simple.
Its not stupid or childish to call something what it is. Tired of people trying to defend pieces of crap like Tyson because he did something decent many years ago. Its desperate and you should be called on it. Just like the idiots in the NFL who try to defend Vick because he is a nice guy. But in the spirit of things I will list some really good things Tyson has done. 1- In a world of 3 billion women he only raped 1 that I am aware of. 2- He didn't beat that old man to death in that traffic incident he only beat him a little. 3- When beating his wife I heard he only hit her with jabs sometimes doubling up but never any hooks. 4- He only bit off one of Holyfields ears when he clearly could have gone for the other one if he really wanted.
A nice thing your father could have done is to spill his load on the ground 9 months before you were born.
Good video clip... Kids with disabilities have the power to melt the hearts of many.... even Iron Mike.
You know Tyson reminds me of a guy i used to know round here. Moose was his nick. Rough guy, but used to get around preaching us younger fellows morals over a scoob and beer. Dealt weed, got aggressive when things didn't go his way, etc. For quite a few years he hid his real persona quite well, but we knew what was behind the facade. He was damn well insane deep down. Him and another guy beside me got into an argument at the local, Moose' full beer missed our heads by about 2 feet and we were showered with glass. By the time this guy went outside after him he had a fukking tommy hawk from the fire station next door, lmao! Spun rocks on a mate moms car, when his dad fronted him he says hang on, goes to the car and comes out swinging a damn pipe. It caught up with him tho, of course he hung around fellow heavies and when you cross them we know what happens. He pulled a gun on the hardest mofo i have ever met's neice and daughter (his own), his girlfriend. This guy talked the gun off him, unloaded it and proceeded to wrap it around his head, many times lol. 3 or 4 days till they could x-ray for fractures such was the swelling. He moved away and we read about him in the papers, held the same girl and her mom at knifepoint in a seige. No sooner got out and raped a chick, with his record he got about 12 years and is due out any day. Didn't surprise me when i heard he was the prison librarian and looking to do a bit of bible work or such. He won't fool anyone. Tyson reminds me of this guy to a tee. Had the innocent act down pat as well as the high morals and humble respect. Most of us would realise what really lay deep down.
I knew quite a few guys like this " Moose " fellow you're describing. They all preach their false values to others, then proceed to do otherwise. Yeah, Tyson's career as a hardened criminal isn't over with in my opinion. Sooner or Later he'll pull an O.J. Simpson and wind up killing or raping another innocent victom. Just a matter if time really.
You're prolly right mate. Things turned on Moose a bit, i know of 5 or 6 decent hidings he got before he went in. Moose could fight a bit, but trouble is when you hang with the mobs he did good fighters are a dime a dozen. Comparative to his peers in that lot he was not much better than run of the mill. I know for a fact that 12 months or so after Moose went to jail the guy that got the gun off him went in there as well. Moose sent 4 of his cronies around but knew this other guy well enough to hide just in case things went wrong. Well they did, to the tune of this guy putting a couple of them in hospital (rammed a couple of heads into walls i was told, hard) then gunning for the library where good old Moose was no-where to be found lmao. I have no doubt whatsoever he was caught up with. This other guy was unstoppable once on a mission. Moose knew him as well as anyone, how in gods name he thought these 4 would do the job i will never know. He did take an each way bet by hiding i guess haha.
I'm sure that it's as apparent to you as it is to me that Moose's biggest mistake was not sending Gerrie Coetzee after that other fella.
Hahaha. Knowing this other guy, he would've ducked low and tackled him. Plenty were far better with the fists, it's just that none of them ever beat him . Prolly my fave was when he ko'ed a bikie who used to terrorize a certain pub with a single headbutt then went hammer and tong with the ex leader of the Rebels, about 6'5 and 20 stone :yikes
From my personal experience boxing never worked much in street fights. Most brawls wind up on the ground, or involve kicks and elbows. I've managed to land a few shots in the opening seconds of a scuffle before having to resort to grabs and throws. 10 years ago, I was enjoying a few beers at a local place, when a biker and his girlfriend decided to start poking fun for shits and giggles. I ignored the guy at first, but then started talking smack back to him. He saw me take a sip of my beer, and said " you gonna hit me with that bottle?" I said no, but he was ready to go at it. I grabbed a handful of his rather long and bushy hair with my left hand, then proceeded to clock him with my right. All of a sudden, there was a handful of hair but no guy Anyway, thats how I see it. Since those days, I've grown up a bit, and learned to walk away when trouble comes calling.
I know Frank Bruno for one maintains that Tyson plays the good cop - bad cop routine for people. He mentioned it in his biography...I'll try to dig it up and type up the quote here, but Bruno recognised the act. Sucking someone in to feeling sorry for you, then turning on them, self-destructive behaviour. Still, it's a nice video clip.
