Would have expected him to have even be more muscular on the roods. He was big mean mofo but not as chiseled as a Holyfield or even Bruno but suppose you don’t have to cut at heavyweight. Don’t want to defend him too much as you get abuse but just never thought of him as an obvious a candidate as others in that era. Who knows though. Might as well say every other single boxer was if that’s the case

Don’t think you should even be banned from a sport for cocaine or weed performance wise but can see it might be an image issue. I’m sure Federer would feel confident knowing his opponent was on the gear and doubt Bolt would have **** it seeing Gatlin do a big line before the final. His timing and start would be **** and either be far too slow or false start

Dude even if he blew like a bunch of fat lines right before walking out (which we know he didn't bc he was constantly watched for hours before that and would have his hands wrapped long before that) by the time the first bell rang there would be no benefit. Coke creates good feelings but they don't linger like an anti depressant it's very brief and afterwards u feel very rundown. Mike did coke recreationally just like weed. This is like me saying mike was smoking fat blunts before fights bc the cbd would prevent him from feeling pain when he got hit. It just doesn't make sense.

He'd have been mixing it with amphetamine, good chance it's effects lasted the whole fight given he rarely went mid rounds. As for watched constantly, yeah sure, he was watched so much he got away with a prosthetic discharging child pis s. That's being watched.

Tyson has admitted he used PEDs. I think it was in the context of his comeback after his prison stint.

Tyson admitted it. Get over it.

He did not admit to using them earlier in his career.

When did Tyson admit to PEDd Malph? Not an inquest but never heard that before and being a bit of a fan thought I would have done

Will definitely get over it if he did. Like I said the hero worship disappeared ages ago in terms of thinking he was somehow the greatest. With greater knowledge I know he wasn’t but still place him in the very highest echelons

What is the point of listing his weight vs an average mans for trying to make a ped point. You seen what he looked like at age 16? You see how thick his neck was and how large his skull is?

Hes so obviously beyond an average man in physicality, peds or no peds, that even bringing it up as suspicious is silly.

Best reasoning he did peds is simply he had the means to, and given all his other behavior, likely wasnt morally above doing such things.

They can tell sex from a drug test without being pregnant. Bit too much estrogen.

He was talking about drugs he was getting high on.

Not that it would surprise me one iota if he, or basically any top athlete of the last 3-4 decades, took steroids or HGH or some other PED.

    Wake up dude

80/90% of the people who make millions of dollars in all sectors of business use drugs and PEDs. We live in times when most amateurs are juiced too. Nobody wins only eating spinaches like Popeye.

There are a lot of misguided opinions where people both assume facts not in evidence, or insult everyone who does not believe their unsupported premises.

Sure many people used PEDs. But it makes no sense to assume you know what percentage did or who did without good evidence.
Saying many could benefit or get away with it ignores both negative effects, any deterrence, says nobody hesitated due to principles...
And is just as senseless as using the disincentives to use as evidence that few or nobody did.

There have been some good descriptions of the physical & ill effects of recreational drugs here, thanks folks.
But others are too biased or lack intellectual rigor-never even considering Tyson's bulk when in his early teens, poor, & before lifting.

Also abs can be an imperfect an indication of body fat as BMI.
Even when my waist was around 42" I had at least a faint assymetrical 4 pack-likely from being a sit up champ as a skinny kid, & just my natural distribution of visceral vs. subcutaneous fat. Others who are very lean get minimal abdominal definition.

I have lifted for decades, observed many, collected stories, read much about it...Any distribution of human or statistical potentiality or phenomena is a bell curve-some get bigger naturally than others who take drug protocals.

Tyson did not admit using steroids. He may have or may not have, or might have later in his career....

But why say you know when you offer merely broad speculation absent actual evidence?
