No you moron the low blows were obvious and blatant otherwise Mills lane, a veteran ref of several decades, wouldnt have warned him 50 times and gave him two point deductions.

Struggling with c level guys like Botha and Tillis is not the same as Ali going 14 rounds with Frazier and being on the verge of death, or Marcianio losing nearly every round, face a bloody mess and koing walcott. Holyfield lost like 10 lbs in the sweltering heat of an epic 15 round fight with qawi despite being an inexperienced rookie. Its a pretty stupid comparison actually and tells me you dont watch much boxing outside of tyson.

-Ali was past his best when he beat foreman
-duran was past his best and continued winning belts.
-floyd was nearly 40 beating men nearly half his age.
-foreman was a grandpa when he beat moore
-lewis was past his best when he beat vitali

Greatness means OVERCOMING THE ODDS, NOT JUST WHEN EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR FAVOR.

ATG chin, yet He was stopped 5x and never got off the floor to win. Of course im gonna hold that against him.

Yet he was stopped 5x and never got off the floor to win or avenge a defeat. He did not overcome adversity the way ATG boxers do.

Interestingly I also remember Evander knocking Mike down in the sixth round of their first bout with a single left hook counter. You cannot claim that Tyson had been badly beaten up in that fight before Holyfield floored him, UFC.

Mike was also notoriously floored by a single Greg Page right hand while training for the Douglas fight.

You do realize that this occured after like 168 jabs/punches. I suspect he took a dive and had enough. Even Lewis was shocked and said the guy can take a heck of a punch.

That was a body shot on the chest and Tyson was off balance with his legs tangled with Holyfield, he quickly got up like a Warrior.

Tyson doesn't need a pass, fact of the matter is that it was Douglas who ran away from the rematch which you feel was justified but the entire world knows that what happened in Tokyo was an abberation.

I admit Tyson has a helluva chin and I have defended him against accusations that he took a dive in the Douglas fight. At the same time, I think it’s unwise to give him credit for his ability to take a prolonged beating yet trash Lennox for losing twice by one punch KOs. Here’s why. As you know, boxing is 90% mental. This being the case means that it’s a lot easier for a fighter, particularly a fighter as intimidating as Tyson was, to recover from what they believe to be a lucky punch rather than a nearly 10 round @55 kicking that culminated with a LOSS by T/KO. The Bite of The Century and Lewis/Rahman 2 support this point of view.

Hi again UFC, this is my last response to you amigo.

You cant make statements like " Tyson was impossible to floor " and then make excuses for the fact that he actually wasnt impossible to floor.

" Tyson was impossible to floor " is a statement that is plainly false as he was floored in fights vs Holyfield, Douglas, McBride and Danny Williams.

You seem to have great difficulty differentiating between fact and opinion, amigo. You continually makes opinions n claim they are " facts ".

For example its your opinion not an actual fact that " Peak Tyson would defeat Douglas 10 out of 10 fights ". On the other hand it is a fact that Tyson " wasnt impossible to floor " as the Douglas n Holyfield fights prove.

I admire your passion and your loyalty to Tyson but you have to learn to differentiate between what is a fact and what is an opinion.

    Cheers Man.

Yet another example of Mike being " impossible to floor ".

Page was such a wasted talent. He had size, speed, power and durability. It was a real shame about his lack of desire and his hatred of training.

Ruddock wore his shorts higher than normal as well during those 2 fights.

The thread is about Tyson over coming Adversity and there is plenty of evidence that he did overcome adversity in his fights which have been pointed out. This thread has been resolved in that respect. The caliber of the opponents is irrelevant

Tyson overcame plenty of odds in his career being an extremely short heavyweight with short hands fighting bigger mean with bigger reaches. He had knocked out Douglas in round 8 after taking a relentless beating. Lewis was extremely lucky in that Vitali win which cannot be denied. The vast majority of these guys were bigger guys than Tyson, longer reaches, bigger weights and they had fighting styles which aided a longer boxing career vis a vis a small guy like Tyson who depended immensely on youth, speed, reflexes, conditioning and could not turn black the clock in the major defeats which occurred towards the end of his career.

Round 10, Round 11, Round 8 e.t.c. This is how long it took to floor him in fights he took single handed hammerings and when he was shot. It is not often you hear the likes of Ruddock and Lewis praising an opponents chin. When an opponent is able to withstand punishment for so long against big punchers and still carry on fighting without being dropped for so long, it would be insulting to comment he was incapable of overcoming adversity which he did in a couple of fights in his career already.

This was a few days before the Tokyo fight. Showed the quality of Tyson's preperation and training for the Douglas fight to be honest.

I see you’ve been following this thread. Like his idol, UFC2015 is hard headed. He also fails to demonstrate adequate reading comprehension. Therefore, I’m hopeful that if we (all the so-called Tyson Haters) come at him with nearly identical arguments, he might decide to take a break from watching Macklemore music videos and Tyson highlight reels and search for footage of some of the greats you listed who did DRUMROLL PLEASE...snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and/or avenge defeats.

Ofcourse it is unwise according to you because it makes your chinny girl look bad in comparison.

Those 2 punches against your chinny girl were not lucky punches, they were standard punches which the likes of Holyfield, Tyson, Holmes have taken like a boss.
