What things do you think that Tyson did well technically?

What things do you think he did poorly, again, specific to technqiue?

How do you think these factors affected Mike's ability overall, how important was technique to his style and great success/evental failure?

Early in Tysons career, up until the Douglas fight, Mike fought as technically as a 5'10" heavyweight should. Bobbing and weaving , his head was a difficult target. From a crouch he made himself even shorter and thus even less of a target, as did Marciano and Frazier.Tyson also threw imaginative, multi punch combinations that were very effective. I used to love to see him throw that double right, the first a straight punch to the belly, and then an uppercut to the head. The six puch combination that concussed Pinklon Thomas was also a work of art.
But Mike became more and more just a slugger after the Spinks fight , which was his peak. That was still enough to beat most, but after he came out of jail , he seemed to have lost even more of his subtle technical skills.Still, he was still scaring people, and he had the hand speed, but the pre Spinks Tyson was not only a physical marvel, but a technical one as well.
