The Chimp is way more dangerous than the Gorilla, the Gorilla is a peaceful animal and is more bark than bite. The Chimpanzee is deadly, have you seen what damage they do to humans when they go on one?

Some people actually do believe that Tyson could beat a gorilla,...and that a gorilla could kill a male lion.

They're only "deadlier" due to their more gregarious temperment, but in actuality, the gorilla would destroy a chimp.

Of course, the chimp is much more highly strung. I've seen the damage what a chimp can do to a human, i cant imagine what a gorilla could do if if went all out on someone.

All that would be left of Tyson would be his gold tooth.

Well, they still deserve more of a punch in the face as a species than the peaceful gorilla does.

    You got it 1./2. bear/lion 3. gorilla

You have 1. gorilla 2. bear 3. lion

    I would have guessed 1. bear 2. gorilla 3. lion ?

    ?

Bite force measurements have a lot of grey areas, nobody could tell me with a straight face that a Gorilla bites harder than a Grizzly Bear.

    That would make some headline

"Heavyweight champion of the world is killed trying to fight a gorilla"

I heard that story too, I'm assuming Tyson was joking about it. Tyson was crazy but not THAT crazy, I don't think.

Lol. Reminds me of the early days on Internet forums back in the late 90s when 2 people would get into a heated argument and one would demand the address of the other so that they could send them the check to pay for the bus ticket so that they could meet and fight!

A lion would kill a gorilla. They used to pit animals against each other all the time in the Roman Coliseum. Tigers usually killed lions when they fought assuming it was male on male or female on female.

I read an account of a 500 lb lion fighting a 700 lb grizzly bear. Grizzly had the edge in brute strength and power, but the lion was much faster, explosive and strong in its own right and a more natural killer.

Reminds me of a Tyson/Foreman matchup with Tyson being the lion and George Foreman being the grizzly bear.

Leopards have been known to prey on the Gorilla.

Leopards? I've seen them been chased off by Baboons. I can't see them having much chance against a full grown male gorilla.

As for the Roman colosseum animal fights they were normally fixed in favour of one animal.

Yep Leopards, I've seen Lions get chased off by Baboons. Different ball game when switched on and fully focused on the kill.

    I dont know about that.

And it depends on the size of the leopard and gorilla in question. Some leopards are small as 70 pounds others large as 200 pounds. Some gorillas are small as 150 pounds others up to 400 pounds
