The thing about humans is that since the caveman times, with our increasing intelligence, we've been less and less reliant on our physical attributes and more with our brain. How knows how powerful we might have evolved physically if that wasn't the case. Might even be as strong as a gorilla.

Steroids made one human convince himself he could knock one out.

The background to out contretemps was Mendoza challenged me to a fight saying he would be coming to the UK in the near future.I asked him 3 times for his flight number and the time he would be arriving so I could meet him,one of my son in laws is a security guard at the airport. I received no reply ,though he was posting on here the day I made a public FAO thread asking him for details, I also pm'd him .The next we heard from him was when he was back in the US.He challenged me , a man 30 years older , I merely accepted his challenge ,then his interest in the venture seemed to vanish. An American poster on here [I wont say who ,]offered to take my place in the States but I didnt feel right about that.Last year I went to New York, I notified Mendoza when I would be there and where I could be found Jimmy's Bar Upper 44th St, but he said he lives in Florida and it was too far.I expect to be in Key West next April as part of a 2 country short break, the other being Havana Cuba. I would be happy to meet him in Sloppy Joe's Duval St. It's old news now, but expect people to take you up on your challenges because some of them will.

I should think a male baboon would be a stiff proposition for a man to overcome, but that is just conjecture on my part.

How can you call it a fix when you weren't there? You have any reports from the prominent tablets of the day?

Or should I just take Archimedes word for it? Everyone knows Archimedes was a notorious liar. He once said a lion could beat a hippo without its back legs.

I can just picture you waiting at arrivals at Heathrow, holding up a large placard with the word 'Mendoza' on it as the passengers walked through. :hum:

My sources say the renowned colosseum matchmakers at the time DONatello King and Roberto ARUMus said it was a regular practice.

I had the crazy idea he would be man enough to make himself known to me before he flew by putting his mugshot up on his avatar as I did.Obviously I pegged him wrong! At the time Mendoza described himself as 6'3" and 34 years old that narrowed it down somewhat.

There's a martial arts site called Bullshido where some of the members do meet from time to time to beat each others faces in due to feuds. Many years ago there was an epic thread where a female kickboxer and a male something or other agreed to meet to hash out their differences mano y mano and much lulz resulted.

Needless to say it's a terrible idea to do this because you never know who is actually coming to meet you, in what numbers and with what weapons ... not to mention on what drugs. I'd sure hate to pitch up at a venue for the showdown with Randomz123 and find out he's Ike Ibeabuchi fresh outta prison

The Old Foreman could be likened to a bear, but back in '74, a sports writer likened Foreman to a lion vs Ken Norton....enhanced by the bushiness of George's hair. He said Foreman was like a big male lion in the way he was all over Norton. That's what I always think of when I watch that fight...I never tire of that performance by Foreman.

On the other hand, Tyson doesn't appear lionish at all,...in fact, I can't think of an animal analogy to Tyson.

Whenever someone threatens me over the internet, I just give them the "internet tough guy song"

    This content is protected

Or the internet tough guy picture

    https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-metropcs-us&tbm=isch&q=internet+tough+guy&chips=q:internet+tough+guy,g_2:eek:verweight&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiclKvVs9nVAhUP1GMKHdD9BtYQ4lYIOSgA&biw=360&bih=560&dpr=2#imgrc=_rjX0vuKcZCicM:

I once made a youtube comment on a Mike Tyson fight someone didn't agree with. Anyway it devolved into him telling me that he was a 6'4 225 pound marine that would kick my ass and kick Mike Tyson's ass.
