If you ever wondered what thought was running through my head when I quickly chose this crappy username, this is in the ballpark.
Neanderthals were stronger than us but not necessarily dumber. I'm pretty sure they got absorbed into the gene pool because their calorie requirements were too high for them to boom in population. I imagine that Tyson is in the ballpark of what Neanderthals were built like, maybe a little taller than normal.
I was likening their particular attributes as Tyson would be more explosive and faster and better skilled while Foreman would have the edge in sheer strength and perhaps punching power. But I think Sonny Liston already took the nickname of the bear.
Sometimes the ish (1/1000000) actually goes down. But it's rarely how any of the participants thought it would turn out. I remember reading about some sucky Swedish MMA guy that was constantly trolled by a Swedish (could be any other Scandinavian, can't remember) kickboxer on how much he sucked. Words led to the inevitable showdown threats and in this case it happened. Turns out the MMA guy was way better than he kickboxer and took him down and beat the bejesus out of him. Victory!! Not really. Cause the kickboxer ended up in a wheelchair and the MMA guy ended up in jail.
Sorry, just looked it up. The losing guy wasn't in a wheelchair, he was in a coma and then recovered. The MMA guy got 4 years. I'll see if I can find the link. It ain't pretty. Edit: This was a long time ago and I can't seem to find the video anymore
If you are challenged you don't really have a lot of choice about it imo. Don't get me wrong here,I've come second a few times! The important thing is being willing to do it.,or that is how I look at it anyway.Everyone has there own values I guess. Back to boxing.
On a side note Mac, one of our trowels went missing few months back. He was known to partake in cash bouts with the travelling community and we think it may be related. http://www.missingpeople.org.uk/help-us-find/nigel-kedar-17-002089
So, you'll fight anyone who challlenges you for no monetary reward and for no other reason than they challenged you ? Fair enough ..... I suppose.
Oh ,A friend of mine who did some hard time with Roy Shaw for armed robbery used to do the bareknuckle stuff. He is a very hard man, but always takes along a mate who carries something to ensure he gets his ££££ at the end. I had a few matches not scrapping, runnning dogs , best to have some back up ,not everyone is a sporting loser.
I assume things didn't end well for the female kickboxer? Anybody willing to meet up for a square go with an internet random is dangerously unhinged. I don't care how annoying someone is, there is nothing anybody could say to me which could provoke me into such a lose-lose scenario.
