On the 2008 documentary Tyson, Tyson said that they were slave masters and were stealing 1/3 of his money, he talked about them in disgust.

Wow, and most Tyson nutt-huggers make out that their relationship was perfect.

They were actually putting part of every purse in a trust for him for when he retired. He left them and went with King who stole much more of a % so didn't work out so well for Mike. Should have stayed with Cayton.

Tyson himself said that they took advantage of him. The way he talks about him, really it's like he's disgusted.

They must have been bad men. Tyson didn't even give a sh-t when Bill Cayton died in 2003.

I don't think he hates Jacobs as he passed away when Mike was still with the original Team Tyson. I think he just didn't trust Cayton and listened to Kings lies. Very few managers set up trusts for their fighters and try to help them save for after Boxing. King didn't do it for any of his fighters.

It's strange as Muhammad Ali was with King yet he's still rich with a net-worth of $55 million.

But did Tyson never even speak on Cayton's death? I don't think he gave a sh-t.

Ali was broke when he retired he only has money now because he signed away like 85% of his name for merchandising a few years back.

Yes, Tyson didn't care about Cayton at all. He would have still been better of with Cayton than King.

Cayton and jacobs may have been "slavedrivers" in the sense that they made him work hard and not party, do what he wanted. For at the time was good for him. Where as king give him a long leash to act like a child. Tyson never really had a proper childhood. I think he saw the world owed him, not the other way round. If he had stayed with cayton who knows what might have been. But he made his bed and the rest is history.

I wouldn't say a few years back, I'd say around mid-1980's he was set.

Muhammad Ali sells rights to name, likeness
Famed boxer will get $50 million in exchange for giving up majority control of the rights to his name and image.
    April 11, 2006: 7:05 PM EDT

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - He may always be known as "The Greatest", but famed prizefighter Muhammad Ali will now have to share the rights to his name and likeness.

Entertainment and licensing firm CKX announced Tuesday that it is paying Ali $50 million in cash in exchange for selling 80 percent interest of his name and likeness.

"This relationship with CKX will help guarantee that, for generations to come, people of all nations will understand my beliefs and my purpose," Ali said in a prepared statement.

A representative for Ali could not comment on the deal.

As part of the agreement, Ali will maintain 20 percent control of the newly formed company G.O.A.T. LLC, an acronym for "The Greatest of All Time".
