When I think of Mike Tyson Boxing Career I think great Triumph and Tragedy. He made it out of being a poor kid and making it big. Only thing Mike Tyson Boxing is just Sad. H really through it all away he never reached how good he could have been we never saw Mike Tyson at the best he could be. He really could have been great I dont care what anybody says. I pray I get to meet Mike Tyson one day. Future Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the world.
It would have been great to see Tyson continue to improve his game, especially his infighting and working out of the clinch. He had all the physical tools you could want except height, but his style worked for his build. He dropped off quick after Rooney but even under Rooney Mike still let guys hold him too much without making them pay. As it was he was a truly great fighter in his prime that make every fight must see TV. The way he came on the scene so young just obliterating people was fun for me to grow up watching.
It all went downhill after Punch Out on the NES. As soon as people realized he blinks before throwing power punches, his edge was gone. Once the blueprint is available for $45.99 at Toys R Us, it's over.
The trajectory of his boxing career is sad, I agree. But things could be worse for him. He had (has?) that cable show for awhile, about him and his birds. He had a bit part in at least one movie in the past decade.
