Just finished it. It’s a very good idea, making a commentary to an annotated career set. Glad you covered every fight. I appreciated that you avoided injecting theatrics into it, like the networks would have done, and just did a solid, workmanlike job. It also seems to answer the age old question of just when was Mike Tyson’s prime, and agrees with Tyson’s own comments about it in his book, I think.
Good stuff! I wonder how he would have done in his prime against guys like Lewis or the Klitchkos. It would have been great match ups! It is also amasing that he could unified in such a short period, that would be impossible nowadays, to much politics.
Thanks Gil. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and give feedback. I was fortunate that Tyson's fights are all available and usually pretty decent quality (except his 6th fight with Larry Sims, which I couldn't find anywhere).
The number of posts does not reflect its importance. It’s an important and valuable study. And very watchable. You should definitely do others.
Thanks man. Appreciate that. Tough to tell what people are going to think of investing the time into watching a video that's over an hour long.
I watched this recap video last week. The time flew by when watching it. I had just finished watching all Tyson's full fights on YouTube (apart from the Sims fight with it not being televised) and watched this after I finished watching the McBride fight. I enjoyed it.
Thank you! So I wasn't crazy that the Sims fight was never taped, or at least never taped in a way that ever saw daylight.
