    If Tyson wanted to cite a fight where he had to overcome adversity as his "best fight", then he could have used his second fight with Razor Ruddock.

    he did say douglas and ruddock in the same sentence.
    But if we were to say mikes best fight that really had top prime prime iron mike tyson in it, has to be spinks, it all went downhill from there on.

    As far as give and take, I would say yeah it probably was his best fight. Not performance obviously. It was a classic heavyweight battle with a lot of drama.

    have you seen the whole fight or just the knockout?
    after the bashing in the 1st pinklon fought quite well and mike had a hard time catching up.

    If that's the case then he should have picked the first Holyfield fight. Losing to another ATG is better than a journeyman.

    yeah I did. that makes it all the more a better performance in my eyes. thomas was no scrub heavyweight, and as soon as tyson figured him out it became an utter demolition

    I think some people arent understanding what hes saying. Or maybe its me.

    Hes not saying that was his best performence or he was in the best shape. That was his best fight (and dont leave out he also said OR the razor one) because you can tell a lot about a person by how much pain they can take.... he obviously learned a lot about himself in that fight (him reaching for his mouthpiece even in his state is amazing) and so I think its actually pretty cool he would label that as his best fight.

    Just IMO.
