Mike is too damaged to be a commentator.

 

He was not a good commentator before. Funny, yes, but he'd have to do some serious improvement to be a good commentator.

Being back on HBO would be a good oppourtunity for Mike to be in the spotlight and entertain people again. People will end up listening to what he says instead of watching the undercards. He's having financial troubles as of now.:deal
