At least Mayweather and Holmes are more debatable career vs career.
Holmes has more in common with Sven Ottke than Mayweather.
Holyfield was pretty clearly better than Ruddock, you disagree?
If so, maybe a constructive argument to help your case
In 1990/1991, they were considered to be at a similar level.
Bump because i love watching arguments ensue
Read the thread? Had all been debated to the limit.
Better thread would be "Larry Holmes had a better career than Joe Louis?" Reminding that Larry on a fair base is a Two Time HW Champ (Spinks rematch).
I'd say Louis had a better career for his time but anyone sensible knows Holmes beats him H2H(LOL)
He lost twice.
This thread has more responses than any thread in this sub forum since 2019. I pretty much run the show around here.
Let me introduce, No-neck, Tyson fanboy of 2021. Sangria, don't go down without a fight!!
I’m no fan of Tyson. It just needed to be stated how Sven Ottke’d out Holmes’ resume is.
You must've missed the 100 page Ggg-toney thread.
Well duh, it's not a heavyweight thread.
Do we have a thread about it? As far as I know, back then, the majority saw Larry edging a win.
However, even if he didn´t, Larry never lost until age 35, tons of title defenses, close to dethrowning Rockys record. No way Tyson surpasses Holmes resume.
