Of course he should be, whether the imbeciles running at the HOF will induct him is a different matter.

Just look at his skill and achievements,it is clear he should easily get into the HoF,if someone like Ken Norton can get in then Tyson definitely should.

Without a shadow of doubt, yes.

Don't forget that Mike Tyson did a shitload of great things FOR boxing before he went crazy. This is what I'd want the HOF to remember. Never forget how exciting he was or the fear he put into opponents. A completely dominant figure at one point who ruled the roost.

And think how many dogs were named after him too.

My mum would recognise him and she hates all sport. She would recognise:

    1. David Beckham
    2. Tiger Woods
    3. Joe Calzaghe
    4. Mike Tyson

    And that's about it.

I know he was controversial and even hated at times, but the HOF surely can't deny the impact he had on the sport...sure some was bad, but some was extremely good as well. I would 100% have Tyson in there, for his '80s title run alone (let alone the guys he beat afterwards).

First ballot HOF. Not even close. It's the boxing hall of fame, not the moral hall of fame. Let God judge him as a person, let us judge him as a fighter.

I personally cant stand Tyson, I never did, and I rooted against him in every one of his fights regardless of who he fought.

With that said, i still think he definately deserves a place in the HOF.

In my generation, he is really the only fighter that showed a glimpse of what it looked like for someone to just come in and dominate through the ranks like a wrecking ball. I mean, we have had fighters like De La Hoya, Jones Jr., PBF, Prince Nassim, Sweet Pea, etc. . who showed they could dominate as well, but never with the intensity that Tyson displayed. Pure power and intimidation.

At one time, the guy was a pure nightmare for anyone to face. And being realistic, it was never his abilities as a fighter that broke him, it was his emotional termoil and under-developed mind that broke him.

My personal dislikes towards the man cant allow me to forget the fighter he once was. He did alot for the sport. . good and bad. When people paid for a Tyson fight, they usually got their moneys worth. . . one way or the other.

I'm pretty sure he will get inducted.

even if he doesnt get to the HOF, he's still one of the most famous athletes in history, that even people that are not boxing fans still remember him.
